The original service code and third-party components have different rights and license terms.

TheFileTool original code

TheFileTool’s original code, design and brand are a private project owned by Morpii. Access to the website does not grant an open-source license to its original code.

Third-party components

The service includes third-party libraries, codecs and fonts. Each component retains its copyright, license and the rights it grants. The original notices provide versions, license texts, and source and build information.

The FFmpeg WebAssembly engine is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later, and libheif-js under LGPL-3.0. These components are not relicensed under TheFileTool’s proprietary terms.

For accuracy, the legally operative third-party license texts are provided in their original language.
